How to Use Flying Horse Vape Devices: Setup, Tanks and Fixes

This guide shows how to use Flying Horse vape hardware from the first charge to the final puff.

The lineup is wide. It covers single-strain pens, dual-tank 3-in-1 devices, a pod kit and a cartridge.

Because the controls differ by model, we explain the shared basics first. Then we cover each device type.

We are an independent authorized retailer, not the manufacturer. Products are for adults 21+ only.

Step Zero: Identify Which Device You Own

Before you charge anything, look at the box. The front tells you the line, the size and the flavor.

Next, sort your device into one of four groups. Each group works a little differently.

  • Single-strain disposables: one tank, one flavor. Examples include the THC-P Blend 7G and the 3G new-device pens.
  • Dual-tank disposables: two tanks with two strains. Most fire one tank or both together, which the brand calls 3-in-1.
  • Power Split kit: a rechargeable battery plus a replaceable 9 g pod.
  • Cartridge: a 4 ml cart that needs a separate, compatible battery.

Also, find the small instruction card inside the box. It shows the exact controls for your model.

We point to that card often in this guide. That is deliberate, because button and slider layouts vary between releases.

If you are unsure which group you have, the comparison tables further down list every line we carry.

First-Time Setup

Unbox and Inspect

First, remove all packaging. Then check the mouthpiece and the airflow area for stickers, plugs or plastic film.

A leftover sticker is a common reason a new device seems dead. So peel everything off before your first draw.

Next, look over the shell. It should feel solid, with no cracks, loose parts or visible oil outside the tank.

If anything looks wrong on arrival, stop there. Instead, contact us through our contact page before using it.

Charge With USB-C Before the First Puff

The rechargeable models in our catalog list a USB-C port. Therefore, one standard cable usually covers them all.

Plug the device in and let it charge fully before first use. This matters most on large 9 g devices.

Use a normal phone charger or a computer port. Also, unplug the device once it shows a full charge.

We do not list charge times here. The brand publishes no single figure for every model, so check your card.

Check the Screen or Indicator

Some models have a display. For example, the Black Edition 9G screen shows battery level and tank levels.

The Stoner Blend 9G, the Mirage 9G and the THC-P Blend 7G also list a digital display.

If your model has a screen, glance at it after charging. Then you can confirm the battery reads full.

Many smaller pens have no screen at all. In that case, the instruction card explains any light signals.

We will not guess at light codes, however. They differ by model, and a wrong guess causes more confusion.

Drawing Technique: Slow and Gentle Wins

Good technique solves most early problems. In fact, hard pulls cause more trouble than faulty hardware.

Draw-Activated Versus Button Models

Some devices fire when you inhale. The Stoner Blend 3.8G and Black Edition 3.8G are listed as draw-activated.

Others use a button. For example, retailers list a firing button on the Stoner Blend 9G.

On a draw-activated pen, simply inhale gently. On a button model, follow your card for the firing control.

The Basic Draw

  1. Seal your lips around the mouthpiece.
  2. Inhale slowly and steadily, like sipping through a thin straw.
  3. Keep the draw short at first, around a few seconds.
  4. Release, breathe normally and wait before the next puff.

Start low and go slow. These are high-potency hemp-derived blends designed for experienced adults.

Also, avoid chain-pulling. Rapid back-to-back draws can overheat the coil and flood it with oil.

A gentle draw also gives better flavor. As a result, you taste the strain instead of a harsh, hot hit.

Using Preheat on Models That Have It

Preheat warms the oil before you inhale. As a result, thick oil flows more easily into the coil.

Based on brand and retailer listings, these lines include a preheat function:

  • Stoner Blend 9G
  • Stoner Blend 9G FL Compliant
  • Mirage Edition 9G
  • Stoner Blend 3.8G

Other lines may have it too. However, we only list preheat where a source confirms it.

Use preheat whenever hits feel weak, especially in cold weather. Cold oil thickens and moves slowly.

The activation method differs by model. So check the card for the exact control on your device.

After preheating, take a slow draw. Then judge whether you need another preheat cycle before the next one.

How to Use Flying Horse Vape Dual-Tank (3-in-1) Models

Dual-tank devices are the heart of the lineup. They hold two strains in two separate tanks inside one shell.

Most of them can fire one tank alone or both tanks together. Hence the 3-in-1 name on many boxes.

Dual models include the Stoner Blend 9G, 7G, 5G and 3.8G, plus the Black Edition 9G and 3.8G.

In addition, the Mirage, Habibi Heat, Dubai Gold and Wild N Black lines use two-strain formats.

Firing One Tank

Pick one tank when you want a single strain’s flavor. Then use your model’s control to select it.

That control might be a button, a slider or a screen menu. Your instruction card shows which one.

Take a slow draw and note the taste. Next, switch tanks later to compare the second strain.

Firing Both Tanks Together

Firing both tanks blends the two strains in one draw. Many people use this mode for a mixed profile.

Keep in mind that both tanks drain at once in this mode. So you use oil faster overall.

Also, start gently. Two coils firing together can feel stronger than one.

Which Tank Holds Which Strain?

On Stoner Blend and Black Edition flavors, the first strain name is sativa-labeled. The second is indica-labeled.

However, we never claim a fixed left or right side. The device and packaging mark which chamber is which.

For the full flavor-by-flavor tables, read our guide on which tank is sativa.

Single-Strain Models

Single-strain devices are the simplest to use. There is one tank, one flavor and no tank selection.

Examples include the THC-P Blend 7G, the Orchard Medley 8.5G and the 3G new-device pens.

The smaller 2.5G, 2.2G and 1.25G pens also hold one strain or flavor each.

Setup follows the same pattern. First, remove the packaging. Then charge with USB-C if the model is rechargeable.

After that, take slow draws. If the model has a display, such as the 7G, check it now and then.

Because there is no tank switching, single-strain pens suit anyone who wants a plain, pocketable device.

Single-strain pens also make it easy to try a new strain. You commit to one flavor at a lower price.

Using the Power Split Kit

The Power Split works differently from a disposable. It pairs a rechargeable battery with a replaceable 9 g pod.

The Power Split 9G Kit includes the battery and one pod. Replacement pods are sold separately.

First, charge the battery with USB-C. Next, attach the pod exactly as your instruction card shows.

We do not describe the attachment mechanism here. Instead, the card in the box covers it for your version.

When a pod runs out, keep the battery. Then fit a new 9G pod.

For a full walkthrough, see our Power Split instructions guide.

Using a Flying Horse Cartridge

The Stoner Blend 4ml Cartridge does not include a battery. You must supply a compatible one.

Check your battery’s specifications against the cartridge before you buy. A mismatched battery may not connect properly.

Once connected, the battery controls everything. So any button, preheat or voltage setting depends on that battery.

Keep draws slow here too. Also, store the cartridge upright when it is off the battery.

If the cart and battery do not connect firmly, do not force them. Check compatibility again instead.

Model-by-Model Comparison Table

This table summarizes every vape line we carry. We only fill a cell when a source confirms it.

“Not stated” means we could not confirm that feature. It does not mean the feature is missing.

Storage and Everyday Care

Proper storage keeps oil flowing and protects the battery. Fortunately, the rules are simple.

  • Store the device upright when you are not using it.
  • Keep it at room temperature, away from heat and direct sun.
  • Never leave it in a hot car or on a sunny dashboard.
  • Keep the mouthpiece clean and the airflow clear.
  • Recharge before the battery fully dies, especially on large devices.

Cold also affects performance. If the device has been somewhere chilly, let it warm to room temperature first.

Then use preheat if your model has it. After that, draws usually return to normal.

Finally, keep every device away from children and pets. Store it out of reach in a closed drawer.

Treat the device like a phone. Basic care keeps it working until the last of the oil.

Troubleshooting Quick List

Most problems have a simple cause. Work through this list in order before assuming a defect.

  1. No hit at all: charge fully with USB-C, then try again.
  2. Brand-new device will not fire: check for leftover stickers or plugs on the mouthpiece and airflow.
  3. Weak or thin hits: use preheat if your model has it, then draw more gently.
  4. Cold device: let it warm to room temperature before use.
  5. Burnt taste: stop chain-pulling and give the coil time between puffs.
  6. Only one tank works: confirm your tank selection using the instruction card.
  7. Cartridge will not hit: check that your battery is charged and compatible.
  8. Leaks or dead on arrival: stop using it and contact the store.

Make Sure Your Device Is Genuine

Usage tips only help with real hardware. Unfortunately, unauthorized sellers push copies that may not work properly.

First, buy from an authorized retailer. Second, match your flavor and batch to a lab report on the brand’s hub.

Third, check that the size and edition actually exist. The largest size in the brand’s catalog is 9 g.

So a 10g, 12g or 20g “Flying Horse” device is not in the catalog. Treat it as likely counterfeit.

Our lab results page links to the reports. Also see our guide asking are Flying Horse carts real.

Beginner Mistakes to Avoid

New users repeat the same few errors. Avoid these and your device will run much more smoothly.

  • Skipping the first full charge.
  • Leaving a sticker on the airflow or mouthpiece.
  • Pulling hard, as if smoking a thick shake through a straw.
  • Chain-pulling several puffs in a row.
  • Ignoring preheat on a cold day.
  • Storing the device flat in a hot car.
  • Guessing at button controls instead of reading the card.

Most of these take seconds to fix. Meanwhile, they prevent the majority of support requests we see.
